Beautiful things often come in small packages. I remember the moment my husband (fiancee at the time) gave me a little velvet box that held the most beautiful engagement ring. I couldn’t wait to proudly display it on my finger.

The Old Testament is filled with gigantic books featuring awesome stories and impressive miracles. There are faithful leaders, strong warriors, appointed judges, renowned kings, and great prophets who spoke for God. There would good times and not-so-good times for the people of God. In addition to these impressive things, the Old Testament is when God began to make Himself known to His people and came to dwell among them.

In the middle of all these remarkable Old Testament things sits a small and inconspicuous book. It’s a story that doesn’t seem to measure up to the splendor of the other books. But… Ruth is an amazing story. It’s a story rich in historical significance and relevant to the 21st century believer.

The book of Ruth is not just a minor little narrative tucked in the middle of the Old Testament and surrounded by much larger-than-life books. No! This aged manuscript is an absolute significant part of God’s holy Book and plays a vital role in God’s eternal redemptive purposes.

Ruth really is a tragedy-to triumph story. And it’s a GREAT love story.

I was BLOWN AWAY when I began to study it deeper.

I will be leading an ONLINE study on Ruth, which begins on January 14th. It’s a five-week study packed with glorious messages and eternal truths. I hope you’ll join us. There really is something special about studying a whole book of the Bible.

This Bible study is FREE (but books will be available at half off – $7:50 – for those who want to purchase one). The Bible study includes weekly lesson plans, LIVE teachings on Facebook, daily discussion, and give-away gifts.

Here’s a little nugget we’ll uncover… Ruth’s romance with Boaz is a beautiful picture of the One who invites us into a romantic relationship. He’s the BEST Romancer and continues to woo us. And He NEVER gives up.

Please pray about it. And please invite others. Our class is growing fast and I hope to see your name on that list.

Have a Merry Christmas!
